Impact Plus Insulation – For Laminate/Wood Floors

Impact Plus Laminate Insulation is designed to be used on both concrete and wooden sub-floors, offering a versatile solution for a variety of flooring installations.

It is the recommended underlay for the 150w UFH Foil System beneath wood and laminate floors.

This advanced insulation product not only enhances the performance of underfloor heating (UFH) systems but also functions as an underlay, providing added comfort underfoot.

This unique insulation/underlay effectively creates a high thermal barrier between the sub-floor and the heating system, helping to ensure efficient heat distribution.

Additionally, Impact Plus Insulation helps to protect the UFH system by maintaining optimal heat retention.

Unlike other insulation materials such as XPS or Tile Backer Boards, Impact Plus Insulation offers a cushioned surface ideal for use with the ‘floating’ foil heating system, delivering superior comfort and performance.

The Importance of Insulation

The Impact Plus Thermal Insulation is quick and easy to install, floating beneath the 150W/M² Aluminium Foil Mats before the final floor is installed.

To raise floor height (e.g., to meet thresholds), you can add a layer of 6, 10, 20, or 30mm XPS Thermal Boards beneath the Impact Plus Insulation.

For rubber-backed click floors (LVT, Vinyl, Amtico), use only XPS Thermal Boards.
