Our new low profile 6mm thick Self Adhesive Premium Impact Plus Insulation is designed for use beneath laminate and wood flooring on both concrete and timber subfloors. Its innovative foil-lined surface and self-adhesive backing make installation faster, cleaner, and more efficient than ever before.
This upgraded version is the recommended companion to the 150W UFH Foil Heating System, providing exceptional thermal reflection and adhesion stability beneath your final floor finish.
The foil layer enhances heat reflection back into the room, maximising the efficiency of your underfloor heating (UFH) system while ensuring consistent and even warmth across your floor area.
Unlike traditional underlays such as XPS or Tile Backer Boards, the Premium Impact Plus offers a cushioned yet durable surface — ideal for floating floor UFH systems requiring minimal floor height increase.
The Benefits of Foil-Lined Insulation
The foil surface provides a high-efficiency radiant barrier, while the adhesive backing ensures the insulation remains perfectly positioned during installation. It floats neatly beneath the 150W/M² Aluminium Foil Mats, delivering superior thermal retention and acoustic dampening.
To increase floor height (for example, to meet thresholds), an additional layer of 6, 10, 20, or 30mm XPS Thermal Boards can be installed beneath the Impact Plus Insulation.
For rubber-backed click flooring systems such as LVT, Vinyl, or Amtico, we recommend using XPS Thermal Boards instead.
